We’re proud to see The Greenary, designed by CRA-Carlo ...Ratti Associati (@crassociati), featured among them.
Set in the countryside outside Parma, The Greenary reimagines a traditional farmhouse around a 10 meter tall ficus tree named Alma. Yesterday in Turin, the Olympic Torch returned to familiar streets, carried by its designer Carlo Ratti as the relay continued on the path to the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Games.

It’s been a little over a month since the doors closed on the Biennale Architettura 2025 (@labiennale) — Intelligens. Natural. Artificial. Collective.
Over six months, the Exhibition, curated by Carlo Ratti (@crassociati), became a living laboratory of perspectives — more than 750 ...contributors exploring how architecture can adapt and respond in a changing world.
As the exhibition lights fade, the spirit of Intelligens continues — a Petri dish of ideas carried into daily practice. Architecture can guide our adaptation and, echoing Buckminster Fuller’s words, help shape the utopia of a more livable tomorrow.

AquaPraça has officially completed its journey as one of the defining landmarks of COP30 (@cop30nobrasil) — and soon, a lasting cultural landmark for Belém.

Maker Faire Rome - The European Edition @makerfairerome came to an end. It was great to meet so much young talent enthusiastic about science and technology! We thank SCL consortium members @armadeicarabinieri, @crearicerca and @faetechnology for hosting us at their booths, and @ambasciatausa for supporting the initiative.
Umberto recently presented data-based tools that can help city leaders and policymakers make more livable, inclusive, and lively downtowns at @citylab session “Emerging Strategies for Downtown Revitalization”.
SCL`s City Scanner project featuring #Flatburn is on display at the #VeniceBiennale2023. The exhibit, ‘Rebuilding Beirut: Using Data to Co-Design a New Future,’ is part of the sixth biennial architecture exhibition ‘Time Space Existence’ presented by the European Cultural Centre (ECC). The exhibit also features two other research projects from @MITSAP that all support the rebuilding efforts in Beirut following the disastrous explosion at Port of Beirut in August 2020.
The exhibit is open through November 26, 2023 in Venice at the Palazzo Bembo. You can buy tickets and plan your visit to the exhibit at: https://www.labiennale.org/en.

“On Monte Rosa, at 4,500 meters, I knew it worked.”
Carlo Ratti spoke with Corriere della Sera about designing the #MilanoCortina2026 Olympic Torch and the challenge of working across scales, from urban plans to a half-meter object carried by 10,001 torchbearers.
Drawing on Ernesto Nathan Rogers’ idea that architecture ranges “from the spoon to the city,” he reflects on a design approach based on subtraction and reuse, with the flame, its energy and visibility, at the heart of the project.

Flipping the page to our alpine Bivuoac, designed by CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati in collaboration with Salone del Mobile.Milano ahead of the 2026 Winter Olympics, featured in Interni Magazine’s January–February issue dedicated to Sport & Design.
The bivouac’s glass wall offers a meditative view of the surrounding Alps. Beyond its function as a shelter, the structure provides a temporary sanctuary—a place for reflection, rest, and connection to nature.
