International Worker’s Day is an annual holiday to celebrate the achievements of workers.

While it goes without saying that we should celebrate and appreciate our workers every day, these holidays help us do just that. To not forget the great work that our colleagues do every day, enabling us to continue to innovate and experiment.

So, we’re taking the chance to say a big thank you to all the Admin team, the Cabinet, Communications, Design, Strategy & Innovation and Make teams, and all the people who make working in our office possible - and fun! CRA`s "Sunny Inside" interior design for Zambon Pharma pushes the boundaries of biophilic design. Through the latest SunLike LED technology, which mimics the spectral distribution of the sun`s power and reproduces it within the confines of the office, the traditional distinction between indoor and outdoor spaces is blurred.

Alongside sunlight, plants enter the workspace, enriching desks and common areas, and further improving workers’ well-being.

Every year during Milan Design Week, we like to visit MEET with our whole team. This project is very special to us, personifying the serendipity of unpredictable encounters, boosting new ideas and feelings - something that inspires all of us here at CRA!

The design of @meet.digitalculturecenter strives to achieve serendipity through the hybridization of functions. Such a design approach is best expressed by the central vertical plaza, but it extends throughout the center, to multiple rooms for exhibitions, talks, and performances.

A perfect place for us to enjoy a post-Design Week aperitivo!

𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗛 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗔𝗧 𝗖𝗥𝗔!

Here at CRA, we are trying to contribute to increasingly thoughtful and sustainable design. As Carlo reminded us in a recent interview for Living Corriere, we are indebted to the Earth, and it is our responsibility to take care of it.

That is why our research goes toward integrating the natural and artificial worlds, studying new materials for construction (from rice waste to tomato waste) and constantly innovating on current practices. As designers, we need to ask what can we learn from nature, and what can we learn from the earth?

22 aprile: oggi è il World Earth Day.

Qui in CRA cerchiamo di dare il nostro contributo per un design sempre più attento e sostenibile. Come Carlo ci ha ricordato in una recente intervista per Living Corriere, abbiamo un grosso debito con la Terra, ed è nostra responsabilità occuparcene.

Per questo la nostra ricerca va verso l’integrazione tra mondo naturale e mondo artificiale. Studia nuovi materiali per le costruzioni (dagli scarti del riso a quelli del pomodoro) e riflettere per innovare quello che già conosciamo. Come designer dobbiamo chiederci cosa possiamo imparare dalla natura, e cosa possiamo imparare dalla terra?

𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲?

After the success of last year’s installation, CRA with Italo Rota returns to Milan Design Week with an installation created for Gruppo Saviola and constructed by Maestro Technologies.

The form of the pavilion is inspired by the ultimate exponent of circularity: nature itself.

This year’s project, “The Wood Without The Tree”, is a way to showcase the intelligence of the natural world and the benefits of using wholly recycled products in construction. The project will be shown at the Salone del Mobile until 21 April 2024.
