CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati, the international design and innovation practice led by MIT professor Carlo Ratti, is looking for a Data Entry Specialist with at least some experience working as a data entry operator or clerk, to join the company’s office in Torino. We are looking for a Computational Architect to join the Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DFMA) team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with the motivation to learn in a fast paced, innovative environment. We hire via a 6-months internship.
The role of the DFMA team is twofold:
1. To unpack architectural designs into a set pre-assembled building systems comprised of digitally fabricated elements.
2. To generate CAD/CAM fabrication instructions for the production of individual elements.
Job Description:
• Work alongside engineers and architects to develop architectural solutions into a set of digitally fabricated building systems. Your role will be to optimise complex geometries for fabrication using computational design tools (Grasshopper, Dynamo).
• Produce fabrication-quality Revit models of building systems. You will be responsible for maintaining project-specific libraries of Revit families and creating material and component schedules.
• Draft shop floor drawings for the in-house assembly of building systems.
Requirements:
